The Whirler Dewatering Screw Press is a specialized solid-liquid separation unit used in dairy STPs to efficiently dewater sludge rich in fats, oils, and grease (FOG). Constructed from SS304 stainless steel, it features a self-cleaning screw mechanism that prevents clogging—a common issue with sticky dairy waste.
Its slow-speed, low-noise operation consumes significantly less power than centrifuges. Capable of handling dilute sludge directly from oxidation ditches (eliminating thickeners), it produces a dry cake (>20% solids), drastically reducing waste volume and disposal costs for dairy plants.
